Pamela Key – Biography Born and raised in Chicago,
Illinois, Pamela constantly drew as a child, even after her mom would
tuck her into bed and turn out the lights she would draw on her beds
sheets until she fell asleep with the crayons in her hands. Pamela’s
first professional art exhibition at the age of 18 was both a critical
and commercial success and launched her fine art and illustration
career. Over the next 20 years Pamela has illustrated for dozens of
magazines, book covers, national ad campaigns, and she has illustrated
14 published children’s books, Pamela has won many competitions and
major illustration awards such as the Addy for a Magazine Cover 2004.
Pamela was the Art Director of L.A, Brides Magazine and for the last 15
years she has been full time, freelance professional illustrator.
Pamela’s favorite thing to illustrated are the several children books
she has done including notable titles such as The Cat Who Slept All
Day, The Greatest Gift, If It Wasn’t For Numbers, A Children’s, Book of
Prayers and Kitty Fantastic which was her first book as both an author
and illustrator. Pam lives with family in California.
